A universal note-taking system will be highly beneficial to the students. I am interested in the results of your study, but I do have two questions. What grade level and age of students will the universal note-taking system cover? What methods are in place to monitor if the teachers are actually teaching the universal note-taking system to the students?
Tiffanee- we are a high school and we have grades 9-12 on our campus. The methods to monitor teachers is a good question. We are a very hands-on school so our department heads and assistant principals are known to drop into class at any point. Also we do unit planning with our teams and the note-taking and writing skills are supposed to be on our unit calendar. We'll see how follow-up goes! I think it will be interesting as well. :)
